Multi-disciplinary Art Classes

HOTA offers ongoing classes in music, visual art, craft, theatre, dancing, filming, digital art (including graphic design and video editing), and more. The organization have music equipment such as keyboard, drumkit, djembes, guitars, PA system with amplifier. This equipment is being used to train new students and stage live performances. The organization hope to scale up the intervention when it moves to the new and bigger LCM hub.

Voices from the River (VftR) Live Performances

Boot Camps and Team Building Workshops with Arts, Creativity, and Money Fitness Mindset (MfM)
Our MfM Training, to be delivered through boot camps and team building workshops, promotes a financial self-care approach that cultivates positive behaviors and improves financial circumstances. This is HOTA’s newest additions to its programs and its likely to commence next year at the new LCM hub as the manual is going through the final stages of compilation. MfM participants are expected to learn to recognize the significance of their financial decisions and adopt positive behaviors related to earning, spending, saving, sharing, and borrowing.

​Art, Tourism, and Creative Economy (ATCE) in Northern Namibia

The objective of the ATCE project is to provide training and mentorship to Artists and Craftsman’s to become creative design thinkers to add value to their products and create value chains to be able to produce at large scale level. Through this project, HOTA with the support of the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland has developed a New Product Development, Train the Trainer Workshop Manual for local Artists, Artisans, Creatives and Entrepreneurs. This five-day training manual will be used at the new LCM hub to train creatives who will take up stalls and sell their products and services to the visiting tourists.
